Follow up following Failed Attempt / Cycle

Hi, just trying to gauge what is the norm for a follow up / review following a failed cycle. Mine is 6 weeks which I think is pretty poor but just wondering if that’s the norm and I’m being harsh.

NB. This is just a video call to discuss the failed attempt and next steps - suspect there will be a further wait thereafter to move forward.

TIA

I should add this is a private clinic - not sure if that is / should be quicker than NHS.

Mine have both been 2-3 weeks. The thing I wish they'd of told me is you don't get another consultation included in the package if you go with them again. That review is also the plan for the next cycle, I assumed we'd of started the second cycle with a consultant appointment but that would have cost an additional £200! It might be different at your clinic but it's worth checking.

Thanks @SpyroC. What’s annoying me is that they can’t say they are too busy. If my result had have been positive I would have had a scan within 3 weeks. With the same consultant that would do my review - so they can find time for that. I suspect my clinic would then make me pay for another consultation to move forward. They had me pay for a consultation to say I wanted to proceed with FET. So the £270 was to say to a consultant ‘yes as per my phone call I wish to proceed with a FET’. Nothing else as I then had to do the consent appointment and discuss treatment in another apt with a nurse. Tbf I think 3 weeks is a long enough wait too - particularly when you can’t even get going again with that appointment

I was with Create and never paid for post cycle reviews or consultations for the next cycle. I'd say it was no later than a month afterwards I'd have a review but Create's protocol mean you cycle much quicker and no long protocol means your periods come back pretty much straight away so if you want to go again after the next period then they have to do the review fairly quickly.

Thanks for the reply @ivfbeenbusy. Mine don’t seem to care what I want to do. This is after failed FET - so it means having to wait at the very least for 2 periods - but there was no discussion. I had to chase them up a week after my negative result for any kind of contact. I believe this ‘review’ will be included in the original FET but won’t be enough to move forward and suspect a further consultation will be required to actually get going again. Being the first failed FET I don’t imagine they’ll change anything - so realistically I should have been able to go again straightaway - or at least on the second bleed but 6 weeks means that’s not possible.
