Metformin and fertility

Hi, I wanted to see who had taken metformin to help with fertility and if it worked? Any advice good and bad would be appreciated.

I use metformin, and was told to continue to use it right through to the 2nd trimester . Its not a fertility drug and there is no clarity on how it helps fertility exactly. Its usually prescribed to treat diabetes and PCOS,

It's regulated my periods and made me ovulate, also lost a fair bit of weight on it too. Have not conceived though. As pp said it's not a fertility drug but I think the theory is get your periods on track and hopefully conceive
