Hi all, just after some advice. Not posted on here before. Does anyone know the waiting times for appointments and then for actually being approved for funding. feel like I’m getting nowhere with LWH. Booked some provisional tests privately to get everything done in advance but don’t want that to affect my referral x

Should have also mentioned that partner had poor morphology and motility so doctor advises ICSI is best for us.

Hi, I’m with Liverpool too. I had all of my testing done private at Manchester Fertility (We had planned to stay with them private for treatment but I don’t have enough time off this year for all the appointments to be an hour away!) However findings for me weren’t that good (low AMH for my age and one blocked tube) so my doctor said we would be granted IVF straight away at LW so to try there first. We waited around 5-6 months for the referral (April-sep) but that might be due to Covid.

Had our first appointment this week With LWH and they had all my private notes from the previous clinic, just a blood test to re do and we’re good to start the IVF process as soon as we are ready! (I’ve asked for a few weeks to digest and get my head around it as we’re only 26 and it’s a major thing to go through)

The private tests didn’t hinder us at all, in fact it was worth every penny as we could have started the process straight away if we wanted to! We need to be approved for funding but the doctor said less than 4 weeks if we were to do it this week. Hope the info is helpful :)

I had my first DD with the help of HFC at LWH and I could not fault them one bit!

Before I was referred from Warrington where I had all kinds of test done first and it took months but as soon me and DH had our first appointment at LWH in 2016 this is it seemed to fly by. We knew from our first appointment with the consult that got funding for 2 rounds which is amazing but we had been trying for 9 years.

I’ve just been and had my FET on Monday 5/10/20 this is the third time now had 2 failed FETs last year so hoping this is third time lucky, currently days 6 of my 2 week wait and I’ve got the itch to get a pregnancy test!! Think it’s too soon for a positive result and don’t want to cause myself any stress!!

I’ve got my first appointment with LWH on Tuesday, not sure what to expect with it, says maybe a scan but that’s all? Thought they would of done another test for my partner whilst there 🤷🏻‍♀️

Just an update did my test yesterday and it’s negative! 4 days late on my period but not pregnant which just feels like a cruel trick my body is playing on me!! Now I’m just waiting for my period to arrive 😔

TTCdanj · 17/10/2020 10:24

@Katybebe I’m so sorry to hear that. You’re right the body can be so cruel. Hopefully there next transfer will be more successful. Was it a medicated transfer? X

@TTCdanj
No natural no meds, last time I had meds it ended in and eptopic and was advised it can happen on a med transfer.
I have 2 embryos left so fingers crossed 🤞🏼

@TTCdanj i am just wondering how you got on. Me and my partner have been trying for a while with no luck. I have children from a previous relationship but he has none. I don’t think we would be eligible for nhs as I have kids already. We’re wondering if OH has low sperm and looking for somewhere in Liverpool for him to have a sperm analysis with potential further testing/treatment if required.
