Smear test

Has anyone been in a situation where your smear test is no longer up to date, but you are unable to book an appt or do anything about this becuase of covid, and your clinic has refused treatment?

When we had our first nurse consult early last year they didn't have record of my smear test and wouldn't proceed with my cycle without it. Luckily I managed to find a copy of the results through my online records and disaster was averted. However I'm now about a week out of my nurse consult for a FET following our second round and have had a smear reminder letter in the post. This prompted me to panic! I've checked my records and my smear was in June 2017 so I am 4 months overdue! I've just had my cycle in August so technically my smear was overdue when they did that, but would have been in date at my the time I had my nurse consult in June so may not have flagged up on the computer. So now I'm worried!!

Has anyone been in this situation? Are clinics being a little more relaxed about it given I have absolutely no way of getting a smear done right now?

Thanks!

Have you phoned your gp to confirm they won't do a smear? I'm sure smears are going ahead again.
My clinic never asked for confirmation that I was up to date they just took my word for it, I also couldn't give them a date of when I had it done because I genuinely can't remember but I always get it done when I get the letter.
I would hope your clinic would be understanding of the situation if your gp is still not routinely doing them. I hope you get everything sorted x
