Intralipids for IVF

I've had NK cells testing, which came back as overactive. My Dr would usually recommend steroids and intralipids. The HFEA has banned the (inexpensive) steroids due to Covid, but the clinic is still offering intralipids, and my doctor has previously recommended them for me.

Thing is, the intralipids will cost somewhere in the region of £1000, and there are of course no proper studies to show that they actually have an effect.

Does anyone have experience and would you give intralipids a positive or negative review?

Thank you

My clinic doesn't believe in intralipids so doesn't offer it but I know someone on the July/August IVF thread did have it but unfortunately still miscarried twins

I would also say I was supposed to be on steroids for my transfer but due to covid wasn't allowed them. I decided to go ahead with transfer and am now 18 weeks with twins x

Hi, thank you for the response. Sorry to hear about someone else's misfortune. And very happy for you to hear you're doing well with twins :)

Good to hear that the lack of steroids doesn't seem to have been a hindrance, and thank you for giving me some intralipids feedback. I'm leaning towards not taking them.

Good luck with your continued pregnancy Smile
