Possible PCOS

So not sure if this is the right place to post this, me and my husband have been actively trying since last December however been off contraception for a few years now, had a blood test back in March due to absent periods which seemed to suggest PCOS - lockdown happened and so it all went out the window really, since then I haven’t had a period and had no further investigations - I think I’m putting off going to docs because 1. It’s not really classed as an emergency and in this current pandemic seems rather insignificant and 2. I don’t think I really want to know how bad it really is (I’ve already gathered it must be really bad considering I’ve only had 2 periods in the last year) and pretty much overthinking and getting myself in a bit of a tizz and now scared to go. Am I being ridiculous? Is there anything they would actually do at the moment anyways?

PLEASE go to the doctor. Fertility issues ARE important! If you are not having periods suggestive of PCOS then there are lots of options so don’t despair xx

Please go to the GP (or have a phone appointment!)

I had this exact same feeling back in April time when we had been trying a year and I already knew I had PCOS.

I’m only 27 so have “time” on my side but my GP assured me I wasn’t wasting her time and can’t put my plans on hold due to the pandemic.

The referral process itself can take a few weeks and you’ll need blood tests etc so I’d say make a GP appointment and go from there- don’t let them fob you off. The NHS is open, women’s health is important and you do matter!!
