Ceasarean Scar Defect

Has anyone been diagnosed with a ceasarean scar defect as a cause of secondary infertility?
I've just had a consultation with a private fertility dr with the view to checking my tubes incase they're blocked as we've been ttc #2 for 3 years. He will check them next cycle with a hycosy but has said he'll check for a defect in the ceasarean scar aswell as he's pretty sure that's what it'll be 🤷🏻‍♀️ I'm not sure how he knows, but when I mentioned pre menstrual spotting he said '..interesting' so maybe that has something to do with it.
Those who have been diagnosed, I'd be interested to hear what your symptoms were (if any!)
Thanks in advance :)

Well my c section resulted in me losing both tubes to ruptured ectopic pregnancies as the scar tissue destroyed them and they never worked again. Perhaps that's what he means? Also my scan is very visible on internal scans and previously my IVF doctor said it looked thin but I don't think that causes secondary infertility

oh that sounds awful, I'm so sorry 😔
He said that a pocket can form along the scar inside that can fill with pus and blood and that the inflammation alone is enough to kill sperm and prevent a pregnancy. I have no other symptoms that I know of appart from secondary infertility, so I'm not sure what makes him so certain. He sees a lot of it though I suppose. I'm going to try and not overthink it til I have the Hycosy next month and know for sure.
An external ultrasound didn't show anything but I guess these things are better seen internally.

I have one. It’s called a niche or isthmocele. Pretty sure it’s cause of my infertility for trying for no 2. They can See mine on my USS saline scan. And now I’m wondering weather to have a hysterscopy to repair it

My symptoms - spotting till day 12-13 of cycle. Can cause pain but doesn’t to me.

Great ur doctor is thinking about this as a cause of your infertility as most dismiss it as a reason.

Hope u get answers soon x

The NHS doctor didn't mention it, but did offer a HSG to check tubes which I guess would have showed it up. They lost my information though and I had to go through the swabs again, which came back inconclusive, and by the time I got another set come back clear, covid happened. I phoned them up again recently and they haven't got my info again and I'd need to redo all swabs and US before being offered it again!
So I decided to get it done privately. I had the consultation on Friday and that's when it was mentioned. I'd like to know if there is one there, but not sure if I'd be able to repair it- the private cost is about £3000, and not sure if the NHS would repair it as I don't have any symptoms, bar spotting a day or 2 before my period. Not sure if this is even a symptom as google only mentions spotting afterwards, and I do remember spotting before my period a bit (though not as much) before conceived my daughter. I guess I'm just looking to see if there's any hope, or no hope then I can deal with it rather than disappoinement every month :(
