Thickened Lining for FET - seeking out second opinion?

Hi all, i'm having my first medicated FET, and it's not going according to plan! I'm wondering if anyone undergoing IVF or FET has had a similar situation.

I had short protocol IVF in March 2017 (I have PCOS) which resulted in my nearly 3 year old. Everything was straight forward, and I had an elective c-section.

I had an unmedicated FET in Aug 2019 which resulted in my daughter, who we sadly lost at 20 weeks pregnant due to a placental abruption.

This time around we are doing a medicated transfer, as my cycles have become irregular since the loss.

At my baseline scan after 19 days of buseralin i was identified as having a thick lining, and an ovarian cyst. This was drained on Tuesday 25th of August , I continued on Buserelin and I was also given a course of norethisterone to induce another bleed, which has happened prior to my follow up scan.

At my scan last Friday my lining is still too thick, around 9mm. I have been booked in for a Hysteroscopy under General Anaesthetic , so need that to happen before anything else can happen fertility wise. I have my pre-op on Monday, but apparently in terms of the actual op they are still working through the post-Covid backlog. I've stopped the buseralin.

I seemed to stump the nurse who scanned with me who said "i don't know what they are going to do with you". I didn't get to speak to a consultant, only the junior who came to consent me for the hysteroscopy.

I haven't had any blood tests done fertility wise in about a year. I feel that maybe I should be getting more up to date bloods done?

If there is a delay getting the hysteroscopy we are considering getting this done privately... but there doesn't seem a heck of a lot of evidence at this stage for getting it done except they don't know what else to do.

Has anyone else got a second opinion from another fertility consultant in this sort of situation?

I had a cyst on scan in July, stayed on supracur for another couple weeks. Cyst was still present on re scan so cycle abandoned. Cyst was gone on scan after August bleed so started again. First scan was okay but second scan showed lining was too thin so estradiol has been increased and re scanning on Friday. I know how frustrating and disappointing it is. I wish you all the luck in the world.
