Follicle scan, Day 56... waste of time?!

Hello

Background is TTC 17 months, history of PCOS and irregular cycles (though they regulated earlier this year to 32-36 days!). I’m currently on day 55 though. Sad

I get bad pelvic pain throughout and in particular when I’m on my period. Large cyst in July which I had scanned privately last week and it’s gone so not an endometrioma (as was suspected- it had blood in it) Womb lining v thick as to be expected given this cycle length.

On waiting list (NHS) for an investigative laparoscopy but in the meantime I have my follicle scan tomorrow at the fertility clinic.

I’ve already told them I’ll be on day 56 by then and they’ve said to go ahead anyway. Will this be just another complete waste of time?!

Is there anything I should be asking in my scan tomorrow?

Thanks in advance

Sorry meant to add my AMH is 60 (I’m 27... so that’s v high apparently). Will that affect my follicles?

The follicle scan can be done anytime. You’re likely see lots of follicles on each ovary. I have an AMH of 42 and in each ovary have 15 +++ roughly. It’s difficult to count as it becomes crowded. Hope you get everything sorted xx

Thank you very much for replying to me. I was worrying I was wasting an appointment that someone else could be using if it wasn’t the right time but given the unpredictability I guess they have to be flexible (I’d initially been good to go days 6-14 of cycle but haven’t had one since the beginning of July).
