Bleeding and BFP - anyone had this?

Hi All

I have been having BFP since day 8dp5dt.

On day 10 I started spotting and yesterday had a heavy red bleed lasting most of the day. It has returned to spotting today and I havent had pain at all.

My tests seem to still be getting darker (pictured) and today is official test day (12dp).Also showing 2-3 on clearblue.

I am really worried due to such heavy bleeding but confused as to tests.

Has anyone experienced this? Ill be speaking to clinic tomorrow as am worried about a possible ectopic. Also thinking it could be chemical and hcg levels not dropped as yet.

I did wondered whether upping cyclogest would help?

So stressful so any experiences, good or bad, would be good to know.

Thanks as always xx

hi
Didn’t want to read and run.. no- one can say or tell you what’s happening or going to happen only time will tell.. and maybe a scan x

I had bleeding from 5 weeks, on and off. So not as early as you but still pretty early!

My son is upstairs asleep.

I was told that a threatened miscarriage has 50/50 chance of resulting in a continuing pregnancy.

I wouldn’t change your medication plan without your clinics go ahead. If it is a miscarriage, upping your progesterone will only delay the bleeding, it won’t actually stop it.

It’s so so hard. Honestly, you can only wait and see. Which is fucking horrible, but I don’t want to lie to you!

Thanks for your reply, it has given me some hope it may be ok which is more than I had!

Youre right, it's so rubbish and IVF feels like one long round of waiting!

I won't change anything without the clinic and I think youre right that I will just have to wait and see.

Glad it all worked out for you 🙏

Yes I had this - ask them to check your progesterone. Pessaries alone may not be enough and you may need injectable progesterone. Fingers crossed for you xx
