Took Northisterone in January to delay my period as I was going on holiday. Before this my periods were the same date every month. Now they're different every month. Different period length and different date every month. (I'll attach a photo from my period tracking app) been TTC since March and nothing (I am fertile as I got pregnant in 2018 that unfortunately didn't make it...) any advice? It's been 32 days now since my period finished and I'm stressed and worried. Every month my boobs hurt for around 10 days before my period (which they have been this month...) advice pls!!!

It looks like your cycles range from 27 to 35 days which is still considered to be fairly regular and normal. My cycle ranges from 27-33 days. Have you tried using ovulation sticks (or other methods) to pinpoint ovulation? When TTC naturally I used them from CD12/13 and watch them build to a positive to help me time sex. Knowing my day of ovulation also allowed me to predict when my period would come (always 14 days later for me). Breast tenderness is really common in the lead up to your period due to high progesterone levels in this phase of your cycle. I can’t quite link it to norethisterone use but I guess it can make cycles a bit wonky for a while? Full sympathy for the hope/disappointment cycle of TTC - I know it well! Especially as pre-menstrual symptoms can mimic signs of early pregnancy X

P.S have you done a pregnancy test this month? You never know... x

Hey! Thanks for replying! Completely agree with everything you're saying! I'm trying to monitor my periods and ovulation dates etc... but because they're irregular it's abit hard! Weird symptom now... my abs ache? Feel like I've done a workout and I haven't? So strange!

How odd! Unrelated maybe?!
In terms of tracking ovulation I buy loads of the cheap sticks from Amazon (£7 for 50) and then use 1 or 2 per day from CD 12/13 until I get a peak. For me that can be anywhere from CD14-19. I still consider this variation to be within normal range. Often the peak lasts less than 24 hours so it’s easy to miss. Also spotting egg white cervical mucus (sorry if TMI) can be a hint ovulation is a few days away. Some people use temperature tracking but that sounds like a faff to me! Good luck x
