Aching day after HSG

I had my HSG yesterday evening and the doctor said everything looked fine. I assumed I’d feel fine today but instead I’ve got a weird achy feeling in my cervix and just generally feel run down.
I’ve checked my temperature and I don’t have one and the doctor prescribed me antibiotics after which I am taking. Should I ring the hospital where I had the scan if I still feel like this tomorrow or is this just normal?

This sounds normal, I had cramps and was very aware of that area for a few days after. I wasn't offered antibiotics, so it's good you have them. Just keep an eye out for discharge or anything untoward.

I'm sure I was told to go to my GP of I had any concerns - were you given a sheet as you left?

@VenusStarr thanks for your reply. No they didn’t give me a sheet when I left just an antibiotic prescription and she ran through a load of stuff about when to call the hospital but I was in a bit of shock after and can’t really remember everything she said apart from not to use tampons for a few days and that I would have some spotting for a bit. Still a bit crampy today but not as bad as yesterday but I’m off work today so I’m going to take it easy.

Sounds like a good idea @Banoffeepie91, I used a heat wrap the next day and just rested.

I forgot to say my period arrived early that cycle and it was a lot lighter than my usual (and I'm normally light anyway!) so don't be surprised if this happens. Back to normal the next month :)

@VenusStarr thanks for the heads up about periods. Mine is usually really light as well. Also having acupuncture at the moment and after my session yesterday she said I may ovulate earlier this cycle so hopefully I’ll feel up to BDing this weekend so we don’t miss out this month.
