Moving Embryos Between Clinics

Does anyone have any experience of moving embryos between clinics? I've been told I have to arrange the courier myself and been given a few company names but wanted to check if anyone on here has any first hand experience before I chose one.

Any info or advice would be a real help.

Thanks in advance x

Yep! I recently moved embryos between two clinics. My old and new clinic are both in London and not too far from each other.
I thought the process took longer than it should have tbh - but that was my old clinics fault and they took ages to release my embryos.

In terms of admin, I had to fill out a few quick forms that both the clinics wanted me to do and then contact the transport courier. I had recommended ones that both the clinics gave so I emailed them all to get the best price and the guy I went with he basically took over and just handled all the communication!

My advise is, email around for quotes. One was charging me £500 whereas the one we went with was £150 🤷🏽‍♀️

We've had to move embryos couple of times between clinics in the UK. Once the clinic just organised it for us using their preferred courier. The other time we actually just transported them ourselves in boot of our car using a special container the clinic let us borrow. Was very easy so might be worth asking if that's a possibility if you've got a car and have the time. Will save you some money!

Wow thanks ladies that's really helpful. I've emailed the couriers our new clinic have recommended, got one quote back for £250 but will wait for the others to come back.

Definitely going to ask about taking them ourselves, would be more than happy to do that a save a couple of hundred quid!

Thanks again xx
