Could anyone who's done this route for ivf tell me what the medical review is looking for? I understand it's kind of like an insurance thing with the likeliness of it actually working etc. But I was hoping if anyone could give me info on what exactly the review is based on.
Is it lifestyle? Smoking , drinking, bmi etc?
Or more medical, like sperm/egg issues etc?

Have tried online but can't seem to find any answers
Thanks

Hi, I've literally had a consultation with a clinic this morning and now applied for access multi cycle & refund programme. Their main criteria is age, AMH and FSH I think, you have to give them permission to get your medical info from the clinic you've had a consultation with so I guess they take it all into consideration. They told me on the phone they look at every one on a case by case basis.

Hope this helps! Good luck xx

They also look at past medical history such as miscarriages and ectopics - I have had both and was told I wouldn't be approved for the 100% refund guarantee and they would likely only offer a much lower refund if at all. Obviously at the end of the day they are a business so aren't going to take a risk on people for whom chance of success isn't likely/going to require multiple cycles. (I'm the end I've had to pay for 5 cycles)

Thank you for the replies both.
Yes totally get the business side of it.
I've got pcos but no male factor issues so just wondering if that would cause any doubts from their side of things
