Bloods

Does anyone know how long (roughly) it takes for bloods to come back nhs hospital? I can't remember from previous times.

Having them done mid September for the third time as they expire every 3 months so due to have more tests and bloods again.

Their next appt available is a few days before my next cycle, so I think it's unlikely they're going to come back in time for me to start treatment. Looking at another month again I think.

Understand it's different everywhere, but will be good to know so I'm not disappointed with another months wait

Blood are tested, and results logged, really quickly into the system & posted to GP’s/ consultants.
Depends on where you had the bloods taken and if you are having fertility treatment at the same hospital as the path lab that’s testing your bloods I suppose but our hospital has results same day or next day and posts (not as in letter posts, electronically I mean) results to GP’s once a day. If you are due to start treatment the consultant/fertility nurse will be able to look at your blood test results on the system IF it’s the same hospital or they are linked.

Yeah usually within 24 hrs is my experience too.

@Blankblankblank @79andnotout thank you for your replies. Really appreciate it.

Oh that's great! It's a possibility then I suppose, although I won't keep my hopes up.

It's an nhs clinic, but they have two locations and I've been moved from my normal one as they're the only ones doing the scans at the moment. So possibly that means I'd stay in that one now? We'll have to see 🤞🏼
