FET + Ovitrelle = insanity

Hello! I’m 5dp5dt FET and I’m going absolutely loopy. It was an unmedicated cycle, but after embryo transfer, I was given an injection of Ovitrelle. It did not click at the time that it’s hcg.

So now, I’m in the horrible limbo of testing it out, and obsessively looking at lines on FRERs for hints of it getting lighter or darker

On the whole, I feel much more chilled than I did having ivf (5 years ago resulting in our dd) but I’m still an anxious mess

My otd isn’t until Monday 24th, and I KNOW compulsive testing isn’t going to change the outcome, but I’m still doing it anyway (and it really is a total compulsion!).

I did 2x 2500 ovitrelle for my trigger shot so total 5000 and I tested out too - I'd say by the morning of 3dp5dt I was getting a negative on first response.

I did get a faint BFP in the evening of 3dp5dt but put it down to still bring trigger but got a clear BFP morning of 4dp5dt but I'm having twins!

Rough rule of thumb is to half the hcg levels every 24 hours and that should give you an idea when it's down to zero

Hi Dreaming - was that a fresh round with trigger before egg collection? With my dd, I had a fresh round, and held out to 5dp5dt before testing, then convinced myself it was a false positive and kept testing every day until about 11dpt

I had - according to my clinic paperwork - 8 clicks of Ovitrelle, but I have no idea what that actually means in terms of dosage.

Here’s my tests (I don’t want to add up how much I’ve spent on frers, but thought the internet cheapies were total rubbish).

It was a fresh round but we didn't get any fresh blastocysts so had to thaw 2 I had frozen previously. I've never heard of the click thing?!! Although thinking about when I had to twist the pen thing round it was quite a few clicks so maybe you had 2500

Anyway looking at your tests is definitely say that's a BFP as your tests for fainter then darker again! Congratulations! X

Thanks! I’m not sure I trust it quite yet though I’ll keep compulsively peeing on sticks until my husband forcibly removes them from me and separates me from my bank card to stop me buying any more

Congratulations on twins! How exciting!!

I think the tests are getting darker - the t+3 one is very faint (almost not there) and then they get darker from there. Good luck - fingers crossed for you it’s your BFP!

My test this morning (4.30am is a perfectly reasonable time to be taking a test, right? ) is much lighter. I’m now 6dp5dt and I feel like my period is imminent

I had mentally prepared myself for the first FET to not be successful, but you always hope you’ll be lucky!

We’ve got 3 more embryos left. The one just put back was a 4AA. The next is a 4B+A.
