Talk to me about natural/unmedicated FET

Hi! I posted about a week ago as if developed a nasty bout of thrush prior to an FET. This would be our last frozen from an EC from 2017 and we have one DS from previous FET. So, it was quite an easy but frustrating decision to postpone transfer to get the thrush under control.

I already knew that likely the progynova (estrogen) coupled with hot weather and wearing leggings whilst wfh have created the idea environment for the yeast infection.

My clinic have said that if the progynova sets off the thrush again, they could offer me an unmedicated FET, with blood and scan monitoring to determine ovulation.

Has anyone had one?

I’m in 2ww from an unmedicated FET. Currently 4dp5dt and I’m going loooooopy!

However, it’s been really relaxed in comparison to my first round of IVF (1st fresh transfer resulted in my now 4 year old) where I was poked and prodded endlessly, and was on every medication possible.

Unmedicated cycle, I’ve had a phone consultation, 2 blood tests, embryo transfer followed by a small injection of Ovitrelle (which is the current cause of my intense irritation because I’m testing it out and it’s messing with my head seeing positive tests when it’s from the Ovitrelle Sad)

All mine have been unmedicated and whilst i can't compare against a medicated cycle I like the lack of drugs and allowing your body to do its thing. It's fine if you have regular cycles and good lining thickness - if you don't have either of those then it's a bit more difficult with non medicated FET
