8dp5dt BFN!

Hi all,

This is my first post here and my first IVF cycle. I had a day 5 blastocyst transfered. I had mild twinges on my lower left side on days 1 and 2 post transfer. On days 5 and 6 the cramps were more severe. Throughout this time I had a consistent backache, tiredness, sore boobs and frequent urination. All these symptoms started fading gradually from day 7.
I am now 8dp5dt and i gave in and did a HPT, which came back with a BFN :( I had been positive but this has really crushed me and DH. My OTD is day after tomorrow and I am not feeling hopeful at all. Please if anyone could share if they had similar experiences and got BFP? Am I too early in worrying about the outcome? Would love to hear from you. Tc x

@Jomanji sorry you are feeling so negative, I haven’t had the same thing happen but 8dp is still really early and symptoms are more likely to be from the progesterone rather than been pregnant. Did you use a normal test or a frer?? If it wasn’t a frer I would suggest trying one of them has they pick up earlier. I really do hope it’s a case of just been to earlier, sending you lots of luck 🤞 xxz

@Needtotalkivf19 thank you so much! It was a normal HPT not FRER. Haven’t tested again today. Will wait for OTD tomorrow, but not hopeful at all. Tc x

I personally had only a v faint positive on a regular hpt at OTD (11dp5dt). It was much stronger on FRER. Doubt it would have shown up at 8dp with a normal pregnancy test. Initial betas were low so was probably late implantation. So if you haven’t used a FRER then I’d say you are still in with a chance. Good luck. X
