As the title says really...

I’m curious about different areas and their procedures.

My CCG is 3 years before you receive funding if unexplained.

3 years in my area too, despite my hospital telling me consistently that itbwas 2 years. Only found out after the Dr told me that it was unlikely I would concieve naturally so they would apply for my funding and that it was really easy, for them to check my paperwork and then just said said actually they can't. We decided to go private as we had lost faith in the hospital and we couldn't go through a year of TTC in the full knowledge it was pointless. Now 14 weeks pregnant after our 2nd round. Good luck with your journey

Congratulations, I’m so pleased ivf worked for you! This journey is such a hard one so it’s lovely to hear positive news.
It’s so frustrating isn’t it, 3 years is SUCH a long time and I completely understand that ivf is invasive and shouldn’t be taken lightly but it’s just so hard.x

Yes 3yrs. So went at 33 and told wait for another 3yrs - as I was young .......

Finally on waiting list and husband died - I was 37

Think If over 35 They say a year

A year or 3 can make a huge diff to outcome of ivf :(

Omg @Blondeshavemorefun - so sorry to hear that, that is heartbreaking :(

Thank you. Was a very hard time and to top it off 2w later got the letter to say top of list and can start ivf

Bitter sweet :(

But

This was 9yrs ago. I met a new partner. He agreed to ttc tho had 3 kids in their 20’s / so I lost my nhs

We went private. Took 5 attempts 3 fresh and 2 fed. And 2nd fet worked finally got my one and only bfp. This was 2016

I gave birth at almost 44 with eggs from our 3rd cycle when I was 42 - to give people hope

She is now 3. I’m 47. She is my world and the miracle baby x

@Blondeshavemorefun that’s so sad to hear, I’m glad that you managed to get your happy ending after such a traumatic time.

I’m 31 so also being told I’m young, you’re right though the difference between a year and three in your 30s is such a difference plus I have other health issues.
