FET medication

AF has just arrived so I'm starting oestrogen tablets. I can't remember what they said about timings. I know stims if you start after 12/1 then it was the day after you would start. Does anyone know if this would be the case with the estrogen tablets. It's a weekend so can't get hold of our clinic

Hi, I’m on long protocol so oestrogen timings are a bit different. But with our clinic they do count CD1 as the first day of full flow which starts before 12. So if I have spotting/ v light flow in am but not full flow until the evening then CD1 is counted as the next day. They apply the same rule for starting stims/ buserelin (which I’m taking first) or any other kind of medication. X

Hi, the same timings would apply for a FET, so if you’ve just started full flow (after midday), then tomorrow will be your CD1.

Hope all goes well x

Are you doing a natural modified IVF cycle? I took tamoxifen which is estrogen based from cycle day 3 after AF

I have the same question. I started at 5 minutes past 12 today.

So is today CD1 or tommorow? My clinic says before midday is CD1 but I was just after.

If anyone can shed light on this?

@user1475505106 I think that scenario is a bit open to interpretation and depends on how heavily you started to bleed. Personally if I started bleeding full flow at 12.05 then I’d count that day as CD1. But if it was later in the day that AF became heavy then I’d count the next day as CD1.

It's only this evening that I really have any flow whatsoever so deffo starting tomorrow. I was always told lunchtime for stims, not given an exact time as such.

@ivfdreaming not sure, my clinic just do estrogen tables at an incremental dose. Scan between day 10 and 15 then start progesterone 5 days before transfer

Thanks @Lemongrass1 that was my instinct too. I tried to ring the clinic today but I couldn't get through. Will start Progynova tommorow. Feeling nervous again!
