Prolactin

Long back story to this but- does anyone know if prolactin levels are routinely checked as part of fertility testing? Would I have had this checked during explorations as to why we were unable to conceive, is it routinely checked before IVF? Just wondering if anyone has the answer or experience with this!

Hi, mine was checked by my GP as part of my initial blood tests to be to be referred for fertility testing.
I've not had my bloods done since, but am due to start ivf in the next month or so, so will have more blood tests soon by the clinic, but not sure what these will be yet.

My GP didn't test it but the NHS infertility clinic did - could you ask your GP to do it?

My GP tested mine during my initial fertility screening and they were checked again around 18 months later by the consultant at the NHS fertility clinic, I think it was when I was referred for my IVF and they did a whole blood screening.
