Cyst aspiration during IVF long protocol down reg

Hi ladies, just wondering if anyone had any experience of a flare response to IVF down reg and had to have a cyst aspiration? My first down reg scan showed a 6mm lining and a 14mm cyst. Was told to down reg for another week to see if it cleared but, a week later, is now a 21mm cyst and 9mm lining. Waiting to hear back from consultant after blood results but they think I’ll have to go in for a cyst aspiration. Not worried about the procedure itself but more whether it might affect the outcome of my IVF cycle! Any words of wisdom from anyone who’s been there would be much appreciated...

Just in case anyone stumbles across this thread at a later stage - I had my cyst aspiration today and it was really straightforward and almost completely painless. Was the same as the egg collection procedure - cannula in your hand through which the anaesthetist administered the sedative and was fully sedated throughout, woke up 20 minutes later in recovery and felt fine, no drowsiness. Was allowed to go home an hour later and only a little bit of soreness and some spotting since. Not allowed to drive for 24-48 hours and told to take it easy for a couple of days but feeling fine.

Was also told that the presence of a cyst during down reg should have no bearing on the outcome of my cycle (I was worried that maybe energy had gone into growing that follicle to the detriment of other follicles which could be recruited during stims but reassured that wasn’t the case). Back in for another scan next week and if all clear can continue on to stims!
