Sock dilemma - what do you do

Soo... bit of a lighthearted one
I've had many dildocam procedures, but when the nurse/doctor says take the bottom half clothing off, do the socks remain on or off? I question it every single time and I sometimes take them off and sometimes leave them on! Am I the only one who questions this 😂

🤣 yes I leave my socks on! It's when I have abdominal scans without moving bottom half and they say just to pop up on the bed that I always feel awkward and the manners my mother instilled in makes me ask every time if I should take my shoes off! 🤣

😂 socks on definitely. In fact for one ET they specifically requested socks so I wore the most ridiculous ones I could find!

Sort of similar topic, but after having so many scans I quickly now whip the pants off at the relevant time. Last scan I had it was a female doctor and she said the usual ' pop your trousers off and get on the bed' etc, but no mention of a cover up sheet (I'd only ever had male drs before so thought this was normal) so I happily undressed and wandered across the room, chatting away with only a t shirt on, when she turned around and says 'Ah. Sheets are on the shelf there, you know, for your dignity.....'. So clearly I had lost any of that at the point!

Re socks - def on! It's unpleasant enough without having cold feet as well! But I wasn't wearing socks the first time I had a scan, but I did take my shoes off, but then I was self conscious the whole time how close my feet were to the doctor's face!

Always socks on! I do worry about my feet slipping a bit on the examination bed thing though

Ahh these responses have made me chuckle, thanks for cheering me up this evening when I'm feeling a bit crap!

Oh, I had the perfect answer for try is, I got socks that said funny stuff on them for my dildocam appointments! Things like “if you can read this, bring me a gin” (obviously made all the more funny as I hadn’t had a drink for about 5 years at that point!) Made everyone smile, and eased the tension.

@ToesAndFingersCrossed that's hilarious!

I've just been and bought new socks for egg collection next week!

@ToesAndFingersCrossed

I wish I'd thought of that!!!

One thing my clinic does is let's you play a song for egg transfer. The first 3 I had something pretty sweet and sort of relevant - Aretha Franklin "say a little prayer for you" - well none of those transfers worked so this time I went for "sex on fire" (the nurses couldn't stop laughing the whole time).....I'm now 8 weeks with twins so I reckon it was my lucky song!!!

(Guess it's one to tell the kids when they are older! 🤣🤣)
