So I’ve had Three lots of egg collections to date.
First one- two eggs, one fertilised
Second- four eggs, three fertilised
Double transfer miscarried twins
Double transfer miscarried twins
Third- one egg- didn’t become pregnant.

So I’ve started our fourth and final go.
We did down reg for the first time with buserelin then started stims- menopur 300.

Today was my follicle count.
My left ovary isn’t visible at all (to which they are saying no response) my right ovary has 2 follicles below 10mm. They’ve upped my menopur to 450 with a scan again on Friday.

I am gutted. I’m taking every supplement under the sun, acupuncture.... you name it.
We are 40 grand in with no baby.
I could just lie down and die.

I am so sorry, that's so much to go through. I can only suggest trying not to think about this cycle til Friday, you'll know more then. Can you try to distract yourself with something tomorrow? And I know hope can be dangerous, but this cycle is not a write off yet, so try not to think about it till you know for sure x

so sorry to hear this.. are you not entitled to ivf with the NHS ?
I’ve not been thru what you have but both my egg collections only 1 fertilised both times and I was pregnant both time
Lost 1st at 10weeks and the 2nd cycle is my 12 month old so low number of eggs don’t mean it’s failed
also im against double transfers, I would have done 4 separate rather than 2 double.. I was once told if one fails it more than likely takes the 2nd embryo don’t know how true this is..
if you get a fertilised embryo try a single transfer on day 3 :) I also don’t believe in taking supplements and acupuncture.. the 1st cycle I changed my living ways and diet and misscarage happened.. 2nd cycle I said stuff t changing anything.. I eat all the rubbish I use to even things they say don’t while pregnant.. drank rubbish pop and even smoked (I just really struggled to stop especially with the stress of wanting a baby... and the second cycle was the successful one

I'm sorry you are having a tough time. I'm sort of the opposite to @shazzz1xx

I'm currently pregnant with twins from a double transfer (4th transfer 5th egg collection and £35k down!) - all my single transfers have failed but both double transfers have ended in a BFP although last year ended in ectopic. There are a few studies that show that actually the ratio of losses per gestational sac is actually lower with twins than singletons in the first trimester.

Do you have the option of deferring your cycle to another month to try again or would your clinic insist you continue on to egg collection with one follicle? Have you thought about changing clinics to one that does natural IVF or natural modified IVF since you are only getting one follicle on high drug doses which is the same as if you were ovulating naturally?

Two failed rounds for me but each one my left ovary wasn’t visible till the last follicle scan when it pops up from somewhere?! If they cannot see the ovary then they cannot tell if it has responded.
I’m also a “poor responder” and have only managed a maximum 3 eggs but both times I had zero fertilisation.
I am taking dhea coq10 and proceive max I honestly don’t know what more I can do to get more eggs but I’m still looking forward to my 3rd round before Xmas. Let just hope it’s true what they say and it only takes one xx

So last follicle scan yesterday.
The right ovary which has two follicles less than 10mm wasn’t visible.
The left ovary has one follicle of 20mm.
I was given then option of halting the cycle.
Since this is our last ever chance I’ve decided to go ahead with collection on Monday.
I hold no hope. However, if I don’t go for it, I’ll never know. Looks like we are going to have to live on beans on toast forever.

@Pleaseletitbeme good luck im rooting for you.. hard decision to cancel or go with it but I’d go with it too as you never know the 1 20mm could be the one and great quality 🤞🏼 X
