Hi

Im in the middle of down regulating ready for FET.
There may be a possibility that i will have to travel abroad before my transfer.
I have no idea how to declare this with the airline, or if i even have too!

Can anyone help?

Can the clinic provide a letter? Do you know which airline you would likely use so could contact them directly for advice? Some other people have detailed their travel experiences here.

I've travelled with drugs a few times, my clinic provided a letter stating what the medication was for as it needed to be carried as hand luggage and I was also carrying an ice pack to keep it chilled.

They said I shouldn't check in any of my medication in case my suitcase didn't arrive, but more importantly because the temperatures in the hold could have affected it.

I went via Gatwick and it was thoroughly checked at security, I warned them there were needles in the bag as I'd have needed to inject soon after landing (and a few extra in case the suitcase got lost, no point having the medication with no way to administer it).
There was no issue, just a bit of a wait while they checked with supervisor.

On a practical note I took e.g. Gonal F pens out of the boxes and had everything in a kind of lunchbag.

I'm sure he will, they probably have a template, mine was in English and Spanish with my details at the top so I could also show it on arrival if needed.
Good luck!
