When is Day 1?

Hi ladies,

I'm due to start my first IVF treatment this week. It just dawned on me that I haven't asked quite an important question when I was speaking to my hospital.

Is there a time cut-off for day 1? It looks like I'll start my period in the next few hours, but I don't know if today would be counted as day 1 as it'll be so late.

My hospital number is going to voicemail.

Does anyone happen to know?

My clinic says it has to be the first day you get red bleeding ie full flow. Usually most people wake up with it so that's cycle day 1 but If you happen to get it in the afternoon the next day is classed as cycle day 1 anyway

I think it varies from clinic to clinic but our counts day 1 as the first day of full flow starting before 12 noon. X
