Sick leave for IVF

Hi all,
I am due to have my telephone appointment with my Consultant in a couple of weeks to restart my FET, which was cancelled due to COVID.
They have sent through the Procedure of how things work now and asked all patients undergoing treatment to self isolate for the duration of treatment. As we know this could be several weeks therefore does anyone know if I can somehow claim this as sick leave instead of unpaid? I would only get stat pay but something is better than nothing! My GP has said that they cannot sign name off either... thanks

Failing that, you can ask to be furloughed for self isolation. It's in the guidelines.

My clinic gave me a letter to say I had to self isolate so was paid throughout my whole treatment. The letter also didn't say anything about what treatment i was having.

Thank you @physicskate I would do if it was this month but I believe the furlough is changing at the end of this month!!
@BabySweet85 that is helpful, I hope they do the same... just really annoying that the shielding thing is finishing soon also so I’m not sure if there will still be pay available for self isolating. Don’t get me wrong this is a step towards the rest of our lives 🤞🏻 so not really worried about it but is good to know what is out there Smile

I would try and get a letter from your GP staying you need to self isolate on medical grounds. Your work needn’t know what for and hopefully this way you will be able to access your company sick pay.

But what happens when it comes to scans etc?
