When to test after FET?

Hi everyone need some advice on when I should test. Had a FET on Wednesday 24th June. Official test date is 6th July but when would it be ok to test a little early? No trigger shots etc as it was frozen cycle. Advice gratefully received during this 2WW!

Anyone?

Oooh, this is really down to personal choice. I’m an early tester and have had a VERY faint positive at 5dp5dt before but by no means would a negative this early mean that the cycle has failed. The closer to OTD you test the more likely you will get an accurate result but maybe 9dp5dt if you could hold out until then? The problem is that the earlier you test the more likely you are to get sucked into daily testing and a spiral of anxiety! I would definitely use a FRER if you are testing early though.

Thank you Lemongrass!
I was thinking 9dp5dt but it’s hard to know. I’ve ordered some Frer on Amazon so it will probably depend on how quick prime is lol!

I had my third FET Friday and I plan to start testing Weds (5dp5dt / 10dpo). Last FET I got a super faint positive 3.75dp5dt and then a faint but unmistakable second line the next day at 4dp5dt. Ir continued getting darker for a few days but at 10dp5dt the line started getting fainter and fainter and it turned into CP. It was tough but I'm glad I tested early and knew I had been pregnant, even though it didn't last long. Good luck! x

Sorry to hear it didn’t work out for you last time! It’s my third FET, first time tested super early, second time waited till day the clinic said. Tempted to give it a try tomorrow but not sure I could take a negative...

@BuffyFanForever Hard to know what to do isn’t it? If I had the patience then I’d wait until OTD but I know I won’t so have to hope I can hold out as long as possible. Likelihood is I’ll be testing from 5dp5dt. All a bit premature as I haven’t even made it to transfer yet tho 😂 I’ve used this site before as a guide, I don’t think is directly comparable as the dating with fertility treatment is more accurate but it worked as a guide. I think 9dp5dt works out as about 14dpo. Good luck whenever you decide to test 🤞🤞

Thank you lemongrass! I am sure I’ll probably end up testing early . Hope you get to your transfer. This is our last transfer, last to embabies so I’m literally all eggs in one basket but trying to be positive!

I am in the same boat, had a 5 day FET on Monday and not sure when to test. Not sure what my OTD should be anyway, I need to email the clinic.
How have you been feeling? Any symptoms?

DreamMeOffMyFeet · 28/06/2020 18:07

Meant to say that everything I've seen online says 9dp5dt is when HCG can reliably be detected but a lot of people seem to get faint positives from 5 days past.
Good luck!

BuffyFanForever · 28/06/2020 18:46

Ah I was tempted to test tomorrow morning when it would be 5dp5dt but the tests haven’t arrived from amazon so definitely a sign to wait a bit longer!

Watching this thread and keeping everything crossed for you @BuffyFanForever! x

Thanks @kell2126
Tests weren’t here so haven’t tested today. Having period type cramps though which isn’t a good sign. Really stressed about it all today. Was doing ok but not today!!

Hi!
I tested from 9dp5dt because o thought it would be reliable then, I still only got a faint line then I got strong line at 12. Sadly ended in miscarriage so going again next period. Good luck! 🤞🏻

BuffyFanForever · 29/06/2020 11:15

Sorry to hear that! I’m having lots of cramps today and feeling like I’m going to come on and the meds and just stopping it so really worried this is another failure.
