King's wait time?

Sorry if this has been done in one of the threads, but the some of the covid threads are so many pages I couldn't find it anywhere!

Has anyone been updated on an expected wait time at Kings? We were referred for IVF there right before lockdown (our referral was done incorrectly at first, but that's another story...) and I wondered what the wait time might be to get started. I'm assuming 'a long time' but would be interested in other people's recent experiences! Thanks :)

Just found out my sister is accidentally pregnant, so feeling a little delicate and would really like to get a move on!

Hello fellow Kings patient!

We've been there since before Xmas with investigations followed by Clomid rounds when lockdown kicked in. Now on the waiting list to resume treatment with them - it'll be IVF with ICSI from here on in for us.

I've been badgering them by email for waiting list times and was eventually told they would hope to offer me an appointment in 4 to 6 weeks but it could be longer. That was two weeks ago. So hopefully looking at appointments towards the end of July/start of August.

It is so frustrating, isn't it?! We have one funded round and then we'll be self-funded from there. I've been thinking about transferring my funding or maybe going straight to private if it drags on too long but maybe we'd be looking at Covid delays everywhere at the mo... plus we'd have to do a lot of the investigations again if we switched i think...

PS: totally understand re: your sister. Mine got accidentally pregnant too.

@peanutsandpinenuts thanks for you message. We have also been down the clomid route (for my husband), then surgery, and now looking to start ICSI. 4-6 weeks is actually faster than I was expecting, so that's vaguely encouraging. I suppose it depends on where we were on the list in relation to you guys! I hope you get an appointment through soon :)

Hi @mayihavesomecakeplease just thought I'd let you know that we had a call from Kings for our appointment for nurse consenting today. We'll be consented on the 7th Aug, so probably looking at really getting in to the treatment cycle in September.
