Hi all Smile I’m just looking for a bit of help/support really, I’ve just had my third cycle of clomid. My first reading was high but then my second and third reading dropped (Even though the dose was higher) I spoke to the consultant who said it can happen but has anyone experienced the same? We’ve been trying for three years now and I just feel like we aren’t getting anywhere! I’ve read mixed reviews about OPKS as to whether or not you should use them what has been your experiences with this? I dread the end of my cycle waiting to see if a period will come and I worry that much I feel like that might increase the length of my cycle! My cycles have been 26, 29 and currently on day 31 and still waiting! Has anyone found their cycle varies? Any tips or advice would be massively appreciated Smile

Hey, I've not experienced the drop as my levels were high enough in the first cycle so I haven't been tested again. If your consultant says its normal, try not to worry so much (I know its easier said than done). What dosage are you on?
I've read mixed reviews about opks too. I'm going to try clearblue this month as it states that 'peak fertility' is still reliable whilst taking clomid.
My cycles with clomid have been between 28-30.
As you say, stress can be a factor but that wait is just a rollercoaster! Are you still waiting? It could be a good sign Smile

That’s what I found strange because my first cycle was high then second and third dropped but I’m currently on 50mg on my first, third and 5th day then 100mg on my second and fourth day. What dose are you on? Oh that’s good to know, I’ve been using the Boots ones and I did get a positive result back on it just not sure how accurate they are Smile it came yesterday so that was day 33 in the cycle which is longer than I thought it would be. I did do a couple of early pregnancy tests and both came back negative so I was sort of prepared for coming on! It’s just hard to not think about it all the time isn’t it!

I am on 50mg for the 5 days which I start on cd2.
Sorry to hear AF arrived, she arrived this morning for me too, 2 days late. I also got negative tests! But New month, new hope Smile
I would think they should be able to still detect the surge but my consultant said just keep going every other day just in case.
Yes, its on my mind allllll the time. Hard to remember what I used to think about before all this!
Wishing you all the best for this month Smile

Yeah that’s my thinking now, I just take each month as it comes but it’s all you can do isn’t it Smile
Yeah that’s what I was thinking surely it should be able to detect something - I’m going to buy the clear blue ones though just to make sure!
Absolutely! It just takes over doesn’t it haha! Fingers crossed for you too Smile
