Hi Ladies,

I have mild hayfever and sneeze once or twice in an hour.. wondering if it could impact implantation... obviously i feel an impact of sneeze on my tummy and not sure how deeper it goes ! Please advise if anyone had hayfever in 2WW with sneezing and managed to get BFP 😊

Hi duckface - short answer is no, there are many layers of protection - sneezing won’t affect implantation. Also though it feels like it’s your stomach it’s more your diaphragm getting compressed! Don’t worry! X

@duckhouse I asked the consultant this very question. He said no, the only issue would be if you sneezed during the transfer itself and disrupted the catheter (ouch!)

@HJF84

I think if I had sneezed during transfer I would have wet myself!

@ivfgottostaypositive 😂 After being worried about sneezing, with my legs akimbo, a catheter and a full bladder, it was the last thing on my mind for sure!

The best analogy I read was that once it's in there, the egg is like a grain of salt in a peanut butter sandwich. Helped me to visualise it and contextualise the risk of things like sneezing!

Thankyou ladies.. feel so relieved hearing this xx

@HJF84 totally! I’m terrible for coughs and sneezes -not great with a full bladder!
