Hi Ladies,

I am confused if i can (or cannot) continue taking my 1 cup decaf tea (spicy one with little ginger, cinnamon, cardamom) during 2WW... i have heard very confusing views around it and would like to check with anyone experienced here.. please advise 😊

Also is there any food in particular to avoid during 2WW ?

I have a history of implantation failure (reason unknown) so just trying to be more cautious. I can give up stuffs if required. Please help

I had one decaf coffee during my TWW and got a BFP. The only thing, depending one what you believe, I would avoid the cinnamon and ginger in your tea. In Aruydevic culture, ginger and cinnamon are warming and my acupuncturist warned me against eating anything too warming or cold foods - particularly in the evening.

Hello

I just carried on as normal with food and drink... tea, coke and lucozade is my bad habit and mayo etc and my baby is 10month now... the cycle where I did change food and drink habits i miscarriaged at 10weeks

good luck xx

Never heard of anyone stopping decaf tea! You are advised have no more than 200mg of caffeine per day (so I have two normal teas per day and am avoiding coffee altogether). Also they only advise same food restrictions as when you're pregnant. So the stuff I never eat anyway like runny eggs, unpasteurised cheese, liver, alcohol etc.

I kept drinking decaf coffee and just got a BFP. I did cut out diet cokes/coke zeros though as read a study which showed that IVF had 25% LESS chance of being successful if you drank diet fizzy drinks in it due to the aspartame

Thankyou @ivfgottostaypositive for your response ! And big congratulations on your BFP.. i have been reading your responses on other posts and understand you have had a difficult journey. It is so encouraging to hear your positive outcome.

I have unexplained infertility with 2 FET done for 1st child and both times I had implantation failure. Prior to that i had a fresh cycle which had to be freeze all due to OHSS. Had hysteroscopy after 2nd failure and all came back normal. I am very nervous about my next FET and hoping for an implantation success ! Any tips or advice will be great 😊

@duckhouse

Thankyou! Very early days and I've lost several
Pregnancies before so just taking it hour by hour. - today I'm pregnant but tomorrow I might not be

In terms of tips to be honest I didn't really do anything different - in fact normally I would have had acupuncture etc and obviously haven't been able to do that. I suppose life in general is a bit less stressful with working from home now and I also lost 1/2 a stone during lockdown in preparation for another egg collection. I really do think it's luck of the draw. This final egg collection I was doing everything "right" - healthy eating, lost weight, exercising, no stress, lots of supplements and my egg quality was terrible! The blastocysts that they transferred in the end were the two from my January egg collection after 8 weeks of Xmas time food and drink gluttony 🤣

I second that! Congratulations ivfgottostaypositive. Hope it's sticky Grin

@ivfgottostaypositive i so agree with you that ivf is such a gamble..as much as i know there is no rule book or 100% success formula.. i still try to find one 😐

Wishing you loads of good luck and hope the little embie sticks strong xx
