Help, I've been taking pessaries since Wednesday , tonight it won't stay up!
I'm inserting with applicator deep and pressing plunger but it's remaining in the applicator / falling out
I've tried 4 fresh pessaries now
Anyone had this problem i don't know what to do, due FET Monday

You can insert them with your fingers and just try to push them up into where they should go.

Also are you lying down with cushions/pillows under your bum or upper legs but rest of body and head lower? Gravity.

I've managed to do with my fingers but not managed to get them as far up as with the applicator would

I'll try the pillow method tomorrow , thank you

Hi @Ijustlikefood, i don't think it matters how far in it goes unless your clinic has advised on it. I have always used hands to put in the pessaries and the package doesn't include any applicator. Alternatively you can also insert rectal. According to my clinic it doesn't matter if you take pessaries rectal or vaginal.

I wouldn't try and get them too high, I did initially and they can irritate your cervix, if you're lying down and waiting afterward they will be absorbed no probs. Well done.

Tried with a pillow underneath this morning all fine, not sure why they wouldn't take last night
Thanks for all your advise

No probs!

Try putting them up the back (bum) easier quicker and less messy!

Hi @Ijustlikefood
My clinic said to insert rectally, it is much easier and doesn't come out.

My doc said only cyclogest can be both vaginal and rectal. Lutigest only vaginal. Not sure why. I'm on Lutigest but I prefer cyclogest so getting my prescription changed soon. Maybe I'll try rectal then...
