Hey, just finished 1st Ivf cycle but had to freeze all of my embryos due to over stimulation 😢 has anybody had to do this before and If so how did you find the whole process ? I’m gutted they had to all be frozen x

I haven't had this before but there is nothing to be worried about. This is not uncommon. Some doctors freeze all embryos so that the uterus is better prepared next cycle to receive them. I wouldn't worry about it at all. It may well have increased your chances of a baby.

I have had this before however, the difference with mine was they continued with transfer (after producing 38 eggs)
Inevitably i hyper stimulated as soon as i got my BFP.
Let me tell you, it was awful. It felt like i couldnt breathe... for weeks. I put on a stone in 4 days and my ovaries were still 12cm big at 6 weeks pregnant.

I know its disheartening having to wait longer, especially having the additional wait due to covid. But it really is for the best.

Good luck xx

I have googled this so much since it’s happened to me and do feel slightly better about things now, it does make sense waiting for a better environment before they put the embryo back in, i was just geared up for a fresh transfer, thanks for your post. X

OMG how many eggs 😱 I thought I had a lot at 21, I hope all went well for you :)
I think I’m just really disappointed and although In reality it’s only a 4/6 week delay I was mentally geared up for a FET but I guess everything happens for a reason, thanks for your post it’s so nice to hear your honest reply xxx

Yep... i couldnt believe it when they told me. Really they shouldnt of transferred but at the time, although my bloods were borderline, they said it wasnt showing signs of OHSS (i was, i was in alot of pain but played it down as like you, i didnt want to delay)

Luckily all was worth it and he is 5 now...

Good luck, honestly the time will fly by
