Pcos and egg quality (implantation)

Long story short, been ttc second child for about 3 years. Tried clomid, it made me ovulate but I didn't conceive. Now on metformin 1000mg, yet to see if it's having any impact. My question is does pcos effect implantation? We've tried every which way, every other day, everyday, SMEP plan etc and still nothing! Surely we can't be missing the egg everytime?? From what I remember my consultant said my ovarian reserve was okay but they couldn't tell me about egg quality. I'm 30 btw. I really try not to get down each cycle, 2 days late this month, had very very scant spotting yesterday and today so I'm sure af is on the way, plus have lower back ache. Does anyone know anything about implantation and pcos? Could this be the reason every cycle isn't working?

Hi @cosmo30, i dont know if there is any relationship between PCOS and implantation..implantation is such a weird thing that it could fail due to any reason really ! I have PCO (not pcos) and have gone through 2 ivf transfer with good quality embryo and always end up with implantation failure. My consultant got hysteroscopy done for me which is a gold standard test to check if there is any imperfection in endo layer causing implantation failure.. ans guess what all is ok 😐. Prior to ivf, i have tried all natural means and still never saw a trace of BPF so far..

Sorry about the failed ivf. It must be a horrible thing to go through!
I just feel like giving up sometimes as we have really tried everything !
I was on a waiting list for a lap due to suspected Endo and ovarian drilling at the same time, but obviously got cancelled due to corona.
I was just thinking in the last 3 years there must have been a time when the Sperm met the egg so makes me wonder if it just isn't implanting? Thank you for the reply, it's so frustrating isn't it
