Overactive Thyroid

Hi all,

I’ve recently been diagnosed with an overactive thyroid and with everything going on with coronavirus, my hospital referral could be weeks.

I wondered if there’s anyone on here in the same situation? We’ve been trying for two years to have baby number 2, with no success and they think I’ve had this condition for around that amount of time too.

Has this condition hindered your chances of getting pregnant?

Hi - noticed that your post hasn't been replied to so I thought I'd have a go at answering your Q!

I don't have your condition but I have one that negatively impacts upon my fertility so I do understand your dilemma.

While waiting for your appointment to come through (remember - the NHS is still open!), have you looked at your diet/lifestyle? I have a friend that has changed her diet and lifestyle for this issue. There are lots of positive google searches on this, if you have the time to scroll through.

Hope this helps! All the best xxx

Hey,
I think I am the opposite with underactive ... around 4.5.

This is a long story ... but the short version is; I had a blood test in GP the result arrived the next day and I just picked up the prescription after a call with the GP.

If you are in GB, call your GP, i dont think this needs hospital referal?? - but again perhaps thats because mine is the opposite to yours?

Good luck with it all, it sucks !!
