Low motility and morphology

My OH and I have been TTC for nearly a year and a half now. We have been to the doctors and my ovulation test came back fine. My OH had his SA which showed low motility and morphology. The doctor just said that someone would contact for a second SA. From what I've read that is usually 3 months later but the doctor didn't mention anything about timing. We are now in limbo waiting to get an appointment and feeling a bit lost. On top of that my OH is now having trouble ejaculating when we BD. I'm sure this is psychological but I was wondering if anyone had any similar experiences or even successes to make me feel a bit better. It's a very lovely process and I'm finding it all very difficult. Thanks!

Hi @tryingforbabyone
My husband had 0% morphology but not motility. They do another SA after 3 months because it takes sperm 3 months to renew. Can I ask if your husband on any supplements? I think it would be a suggestion to get him on something like wellman conception. (My husband takes these) awaiting another SA however everything’s been put on stop because of corona.

What was your husbands morphology/motility result? Xx

@Morpho123 I'm not sure of his exact results I will get back to you on that but he has started taking the well man because someone else recommended it to us. The doctor didn't say anything about supplements but we thought it was worth giving it a go. Yes it's all very weird with what's going on at the moment. Have you only had the first SA? How long have you been trying? X

@tryingforbabyone were on about the same time as you! We have only had 1 SA.
Iv had HSG, day 3 bloods, day 21 bloods and ultra sound- everything clear. They always say morphology isn’t an issue but I believe it is otherwise we would have fallen pregnant by now. And with low morphology an IUI isn’t a good choice as it’s got a low success rate. I’d suggest wellman, vitamin C and vitamin E. they are anti oxidants so can help. Also make sure no hot baths/ hot tubs!
Have you looked into IVF with ICSI?

We’re going to a private clinic for AMH, vitamin D/ thyroid and follicle count and will then proceed with ICSI once they open back up and corona xx

@Morpho123 no we really looked into any of that yet as we are still considered young and the doctor hasn't mentioned anything like that to us yet, so we're kind of just taking their lead. I only had the ovulation test mid cycle which showed I had ovulated and they havn't mentioned any other testing for me at the moment. The doctors were very brief about the results and just a couple of things were low it wasn't until we googled it ourselves that we worked out that it was motility and morphology (which worried me even more because it's two things) on top of the fact he is now having trouble ejaculating! To be fair though it wasn't our usual doctor who we spoke to because of the whole situation at the moment they were short staffed so would have been better if we could have spoken to our doctor.

@Hoping1 that's interesting to know, thank you. Did your partner have low motility and morphology? Or just one? How long have you been trying? Sorry for all the questions!
