IVF during perimenopause - will my already fluctuating hormones be monitored?

Hello

Looking for some advice from anyone who's been through similar...

We're thinking of going for IVF at the age of 43. Blood tests and scans show that I am still ovulating and that my uterus etc is clear of fibroids etc. My FSH is fairly low and the consultant said my AMH and AFC were reasonable.

My other hormones, however, are a totally different story! Estrogen and progesterone fluctuations throughout the month are putting me through hell. I was never one to get any type of symptoms at all but the last 18 months that has totally changed.

I know hormone injections calculated for the IVF process itself but what about afterwards? Could I conceive and then lose it a few weeks later when my body takes over?

Thank you

Hello,

I know this is an old thread!! I am in a similar position. Just wondered if IVF worked for you?
