Hi everyone,

DH sperm/semen analysis results are in, and everything was great except morphology. It is 1%...

What has everyone and their DPs done to try to alleviate this in the past? We've read up about it today, especially around CoQ10, L-carnitine, vitamin C and E, omega 3, selenium, folic acid, lycopene (lots of tomatoes) and incorporating carrots and walnuts into his diet and taking out soy. He also exercises already, is going to cut down further on alcohol and make sure he's keeping cool down there :)

I'd basically just love to hear some success stories and/or any other tips you may have to help with our future success :)

DH had reasonable results apart from the morphology which was 0% normal forms on his first sperm analysis. Under the advice of the Dr he started taking proxeed plus (which you can order off amazon) in the three months before his next analysis to see if there was any improvement. Well he never went back for a second sample as I was pregnant within 2 months (after 18 months of trying)! I can't say for certain that it was this however as he also quit his stressful job and went self employed at the same time and stress can affect sperm quality. Good luck, remember morphology issues are the easiest to correct so there is still lots of hope for you!

hi, you may want to look at the group 'any one waiting for a fertility refferal' quite a few of us in there are dealing with morpholohy issues.
my husband has 0% morphology. iv got him on wellman, vitamin C with zinc, vitamin e, coq10 and l-carnitine.

im not sure if its made a difference yet, but im not pregnant. we got these results back in November, so are doing all we can. he has lost some weight (he isn't overweight anyway just very tall!).
he doesn't drink much anymore at all, I don't stop occasions as he still needs a life! and doesn't smoke.

we are discussing ivf with icsi, but plan to get another SA april time to see if there are any improvements!
make sure no hot showers/hot tubs. my husband always removes boxers as soon as he gets home! xx

@MrFlibblesEyes @Morpho123 thank you ladies so so much for replying. I will definitely look into proxeed and see what is in it compared to the separate supplements for anything. Is it really the easiest to fix? We are so sad but hopeful that it's not 0% atm. Trying to keep DH stress free as much as possible atm after finding out. I'll check out the thread :)
