First time starting Clomid ?

So , I went for my first fertility appointment today. The doctor has put me on Clomid as well as a higher dose of metformin to help me get pregnant.
My period normall starts on the 19th.. so I’m taking it the day after my period starts for 4 days That’s correct right ?
Is their anything else I need to be prepared for ?
How many rounds on average before people conceive ? I know it’s different for everyone .... I’ve been waiting 5 years for a baby ! Hope it works for me !

The hot flushes at night were awful! There’s a board called Come On Clomid 2019. V5 on the infertility section, there’s lots of people in there who are either starting or already a few cycles into their journey with Clomid so check that out!
