Stansted security and needles

Hi ladies

Can i ask if anyone has experience of travelling through Stansted and going through security with ivf injections?

If i test positive on the 14th Feb i will need to pack 5 days worth of lubion injections for a trip to my parents. I'm not keen to put them in my checked in luggage just in case.

Will they allow them if i have a doctors letter?

Thanks!

Ging

Where are you travelling to?
I've flown before with clexane injections but it was just to Scotland - I did take a doctors letter - the only thing which was a bit awkward was the sharps box - either you've got to take an empty one with you and fly back with used needles in it or take fly both ways with used needles in the box? Unless you can find somewhere to dispose of them before flying home

I flew from Poland to stansted and back again with ivf injections (hand luggage only) with no issues at all. I did get a letter from the ivf clinic in Poland to explain if I needed it, out of Poland questioned it but were happy once they knew what it was, stansted didn’t even want the letter. This was in 2017.

@Ging78
I flew to Rome from Stansted. I needed to travel with Buserelin and needles. I got a letter from the hosiptal explaining that I needed needles to administer my meds. I presented the letter and had no problems what so ever. The letter didn't go into details. It said the following:

@MuchTooTired and @NRW39 thanks for replying! I'll make sure i get a doctor's letter just in case!

As a diabetic I travel with all sorts of needles. I have letters etc, but No one takes a blind bit of notice.
