I’m currently on my nhs icsi cycle but just planning ahead as I’m worried this won’t work and I know it’s more than likely not to. Anyone had one nhs funded go at ivf/icsi then payed privately the second round and got a bfp? Bit worried as I only have enough money to pay for one private round at the same nhs hospital.

Hello, we had a pretty rubbish NHS first round. We got one frozen embryo which was poor quality. We got a BFP but then it ended with a chemical pregnancy. That was our only free round. Paid for a second round, got one top quality embryo and three frozen good/average embryos. Got a BFP with the top quality and currently 11 wks pg.
After the disappointing first round I was pretty worried about our chances so very relived when a second round was better.

You never know your first round might work, it does for lots people! Fingers crossed for you. x
