I’m hoping to get some advice and see if we’re being treated fairly by our fertility clinic.
After 2 years of ttc we were referred by GP to fertility clinic in Jan 2019. Investigations found no explanation for infertility but with a low egg reserve it was recommended we have IVF. First round resulted in 2 embryos- 1 frozen and 1 fresh transfer. In July we found out we were pregnant from the fresh transfer.
Sadly at the end of October my membranes ruptured and our baby boy was born, too early to survive.
It’s been a painful and sad few months but DH and I now feel ready to give our frozen embryo a go.
I called the clinic today only to be told that I need to go back to my GP for a referral- how can this be right?
Am I naive to have thought that we wouldn’t have to go through referral and another long wait to see a consultant to get access to our own frozen embryo?!
