Lubion vs cyclogest

Hello ladies,

I'm preparing for a FET in the next few weeks. This time our consultant has put me on lubion injections. For our last (successful) FET we used cyclogest pessaries. Does anyone know why he would prescribe lubion this time? We paid for our medication today and it was really expensive. Oh course i don't mind paying and would do anything to help it work!

Thanks!

Hi, our clinic has also moved from
cyclogest to lubion. Actually they now give cyclogest and lubion together. Was told there has been a study to show lower rates of miscarriage with lubion. I did have lubion added to cyclogest post ET in the past when progesterone levels dropped and they shot right up afterwards. Whether that would have made any difference to the outcome I don’t know but made me feel better and I feel happy knowing we are having it again. However it truly is eye wateringly expensive!

I'm starting the process again next cycle (hopefully fresh rather than frozen) and have been given lubion as well as 2 cyclogest a day. In my previous cycle I had 2 chemical pregnancies so hoping potentially thinking the lubion might help.

When I got my prescription the pharmacist queried it as she said this isn't common. My question is....is too much progesterone a thing??
