Natural FET and trigger?

Hi, I’ve been for a scan today in prep for a FET next week. I have a 17mm egg and my pining is thick enough for the transfer to go ahead. The clinic expects me to ovulate in the next few days so I’m using sticks to check for LH surge. They have also offered me the option to go back Wed to be scanned and have a trigger shot so that I know I won’t miss the ovulation. I’m doing a natural cycle as my previous transfer resulted in a MMC and the worst yhigg nag was continuing to take all the meds whilst waiting for extra scans to confirm MMC and then waiting for the drugs to leave my system before I could miscarry. I left the clinic thinking I’d just keep monitoring but am now wondering, if I have the trigger do I have to start taking progesterone or is the trigger the only meds I would need? Just wondering if anyone had done a natural cycle with a trigger shot? Thanks x

I've done 3 natural FET - 2 with triggers one without.

If you do the trigger shot in the morning then the following day is classed as ovulation day (day 0) and you start progesterone one that day

If you do the trigger shot in the evening then it's not the following day but the day after that

Thanks - I was hoping to avoid taking Progesterone. Fingers crossed I get a surge tomorrow so that I don’t have to make the decision.
