Hi. I've followed this board for a while, occasionally commented on the conception board.
Today I'm going for my first scan and blood to see if I can start my Menopur injections tomorrow!

I've obviously had lots of scans since our initial GP appointment as I have stage 3 Endo and a frozen pelvis, so I'm no stranger to the wand.

I'm just a bit nervous that they'll say I have to wait again because I'm cycle day 11, even though I rang the clinic and they said Gonapeptyl down regulating injection is a long acting drug and my body is doing what they've asked it to do. It's also made my period a bit odd, spotting for longer. I guess I'm just so used to tracking with opks and stuff that I find it hard to get my head around my cycle no longer being like a natural cycle.

I don't really expect a response, just needed to dump my thoughts somewhere Smile

Good luck Pinkstars2501 how did your scan go? Can you start injections? I've had mixed success with IVF but our little miracle is asleep in his cot. After various failures were doing IVF again this March. I know how exciting and nerve wrecking it can be! Just try to keep busy and do positive affirmations and stuff to focus on the stuff that brings you joy. Watch comedies and laugh with friends rather than googling late into the night like me lol Anyhow, thinking positive thoughts for you! Fingers crossed x

Aww Thankyou! I thought my post had got swallowed up in all the others. So kind of you.

Yes it went well. I do have two follicles on my left ovary despite the gonapeptyl, but they're not active apparently. So we're able to start Menopur tonight! Two injections each evening.

I'm excited but trying to take it one day at a time. I really hope it works but at the same time want to keep a level head and be prepared for it not to.
