My DH morphology has been 2% for years - he has been on well man for years off and on but this last IVF cycle we were also advised to have sex/ejaculate 48 hours before egg collection. It actually ended up being the Sunday morning and egg collection was Monday afternoon to reduce dna fragmentation amongst other things and this time his results on the day came back at 6%!! - this was the only thing we have done differently

@itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted wow. That's so interesting. His test was with three days abstinence so would you say maybe leave less this time and compare difference?!?

It's a gamble but it's something to think about? I think the NHS tests are usually 3 days and then IVF clinics don't like you to have gone longer than 5 and usually not less than 2 days - we were running out of time (and enthusiasm!) and that's why it ended up being about 36 hours but when I compare all the tests (and ivf collections) that's the only different thing we did

Maybe try 2 days?

Hubby had 2% morphology. He took 100mg of pyconogenal, wellman, 1000mg vitamin c and 15mg zinc and it doubled to 4%. Good luck

@Sshsecretenclosed
Unfortunately not but my eggs are poor quality and genetic issues were found in all our blastocysts after genetic testing x

@itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted I'm sorry to hear that.

@beth821 thank you!! Where did you get 100mg Pyconogenol from please?

@beth821 and any other brands for other supplements you recommend too please

We used the one I just posted. For everything else just the supermarket cheapies. I think 1000mg of vitamin c really made a difference. For the record we got pregnant the month he got tested and had 2% so I don't think morphology matters that much if the counts are normal.

@beth821 thank you. I'm just so worried as we have been trying for nearly three years.

OK, good luck I hope the supplements make a difference. He also reduced his shower temp and we used conceive plus as well.

Sshsecretenclosed · 24/12/2019 11:17

Thank you so much @beth821. Picked up ZInc and Vitamin C this morn in Boots! Did you conceive naturally?

beth821 · 24/12/2019 14:25

Yes we did. I also pregnacare pre conception and a vitamin B complex as I was worried my luteal phase was a bit short.

Sshsecretenclosed · 24/12/2019 15:04

May I ask how long it took in total from starting to ttc @beth821 ?
I'm on seven seas pre conception and Vitamin B complex. I don't know if I should be taking anything else!
