Progesterone blood results help

I’m on C1 of Letrozole, successful follicle scan on day 13 and she was positive I would ovulate the next day.
I have had my day 21 blood results. The lady (receptionist) said the results were 1 and that I didn’t ovulate. She just said try again next month.
Does anyone know what 1 means? As in what’s good/bad? As I don’t have a clue!

I'm sorry but I think it needs to be 30+ to confirm ovulation. Have you come on now? The best time to check is 7 days before your period arrives. Did you get any signs of ovulation, like cramps or changes in cervical fluid?

Thanks for the reply! I thought I had signs of ovulation so was positive I had ovulated. I haven’t come on yet, I’ve done a test but it’s negative.
Is it better to wait a week? Or go back to the drs for more meds to bring on my period again (as I don’t have them at all)

New to all this so trying to get my head round what’s best/ what’s next xx

I think if it's been a week since the blood test then it was done at the wrong time. It's possible it was delayed for some reason and happened a bit later, do fingers crossed you might still have caught it 🤞

I've not used letrazole or clomid so might be best to check in with the doctor, just in case. If you've not ovulated it might be they up the dose for next time xx

I’m anovulatory too and don’t get a cycle unless I take progesterone.

When they tried me on clomid to induce ovulation I had my progesterone tested on days 21, 28 and 35 to totally definitely confirm that it hadn’t worked before taking progesterone to bring on a period. Maybe ask if a day 28 test is possible to check it wasn’t just a late ovulation? X 💐

Thanks for the advice. I’ll definitely ask that when I go for my next scan as I might need a trigger shot too. I’m currently waiting to start taking Provera to bring on my cycle.

I've always had very low progesterone and had one cycle similar to yours - we could see the follicle and she said I'd ovulate the next day, I had signs of ovulation, but 7 days later the progesterone test was low so it looks like I didn't actually ovulate.
Last cycle they gave me clomid, the HCG trigger shot and cyclogest and I definitely did ovulate that time.
This cycle I've got letrozole, similar to you.
Timing of the blood test is vital to confirm ovulation cos the progesterone can vary so much day to day. I sometimes buy progesterone blood tests online to track it in addition to the hospital ones. But as another poster said - they might also need to up your dosage of letrozole. They often start at 2.5mg and then increase it. Sounds like a trigger shot would also help. Good luck with it! There's so much to figure out with all this stuff. X

Unfortunately I only had one round before moving up to the “big” clinic in my area. They intended to do more clomid with me before (finally) noticing my very low antral follicle count (AFC) at the day 2 scan. AMH was tested that day as low and I eventually got a diagnosis of primary ovarian insufficiency. Straight to IVF in Feb 👌👍

Its mind boggling trying to figure out what’s what but hopefully will be easier to understand next cycle. Xx
