Hi everyone

So I am finally pregnant (4 weeks and 2 days) and due to my complications of PCOS and endo I am suffering from anxiety and recieved a scan today.

Great news is the nurse saw a gestural sac and confirmed I ovulated from my left side. This has Completely floored me as my left Fallopian tube is blocked. I did have a HSG in July but the final X-RAY showed despite the push of due it remained blocked.

So my question is for you lovely experts or those that may have experienced this, is how did I get pregnant? The tube was completely blocked but the nurse was slightly sceptical.

Any feedback would be so welcome x

They’re not attached to the ovaries, which surprised me!

They have kind of tentacles (technical term)
and float near the ovaries so either tube can reach either ovary. This is why having only one tube doesn’t halve your chances of getting pg, though it does reduce it.

💐💗 hooray for your gestational sac!

The scientific literature suggests that transit down the opposite tube may be as frequent as 30%+!

Exactly this happened to my friend. The other tube had caught the egg.

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Thank you ladies. Still in shock and hoping I can relax soon. 6 works now and the bubba is staying strong x

Very shocked at Fallopian tubes catching eggs from opposite ovaries, I always thought they were attached. It’s insane how the human body reacts
