Dna fragmentation

Hi all,

Just looking for some advice and success stories.
I'm under Dr Shehata's care.
History is 3x mc in aug 2018, Jan 2019 and May 2019.
All tests have come back normal.
Nk cells are a little high but elevated when in pregnancy state so been advised steroid therapy and the usual aspirin, cyclogest plus vits
OH had the dna fragmentation and it's come back as high at 36%.
Felt really positive with my appt's with Dr S but this has been a massive setback today. Sat and cried most of the day. Have ordered impryl but the thought of that taking 4 months to make any difference seems like a long way away.
Anyone had similar experiences?

Hi HoldingOn2Hope..
Can I ask you please if your partner used Impryl? If there is any improvements on DNA fragmentation as the counsltant recommended to my husband.

@Sehmoh hello, my DH started taking impryl in December and he's still on it. We had the test done again as sadly I miscarries again in June. His results were amazing this time so the impryl has definitely helped. I also put him on vitamin c and e as well x

Thank you for your reply! I’m sorry for your loss Again. Good that Impryl improved his results but I read too many papers saying don’t use potent antioxidants like vitamin C with Impryl as will make DNA decondensation high and it is the main reason for miscarriage .

@Sehmoh there's so much in paper it's difficult to know what to do. I'm on another forum where a few ladies said their DH's were taking Vit c.
The consultant I'm under was really pleased with results as was another private consultant I contacted. Infact that Clinic told me both me and my partner should be taking vitamin C daily xx

@Sehmoh also my DH started the vitamin c after my 4th mc so it wouldn't be the cause of my mc's as he wasn't taking anti oxidants then xx

Hi my dear ..
you are right there is too many things in papers and you never know which one will work. I had 4 miscarriages from June2017 till August 2018 .. two chemicals 10 days after my positive results and two at around 8 weeks and I did everything Prednisolone and blood thinner and 5mg folic acid and progesterone in my last two pregnancies.. however I still miscarries.. all my blood results normal and Nk tests normal and carotype for both Me and DH normal .. the only things was my DH sperm morphology 3% but his count was very high ( excellent) and motility was very good and DNA fragamentation was 7% ( excellent) and sperm DNA decondensation was 33% which very high ( should be 20% or less) .. he start taking zinc and tablet called condensyl in November 2018 till middle of January and he repeated the tests again but was very bad his count were only 5 million and motility 35% and morphology 2% and DNA fragmentation 33% and DNA sperm decondensation 22% .. in this month I got pregnant naturally and I didn’t take any medicine only folic acid as I was thinking I will miscarries again.. but the good news my son will be one year in few days.
By the way Last results for DH were around my ovulation.
Good luck and I hope for you all the best.
